How to create a script in Script Developer

Use Script Developer to create scripts to use in campaigns.

1. Design your script according to the needs of your campaign. Identify declarations, business data, and nodes that your script needs.
2. In Script Developer, create a new script.
3. Connect to the Altitude uCI Server to get the definitions of the business data.
4. Make the declarations.
5. Add actions to the On start and On end elements of the script.
6. Create nodes. For each node:
   1. Make declarations.
   2. Make the graphical design of the node.

      Note To use constants, parameters, business data, variables, and cursors in actions or in the graphical elements of the node, you must make the declarations first.

   3. Add actions for the node.
   4. Add actions to the On first enter, On enter, and On exit elements of the node.
7. Save the script.

   Tip Remember to frequently validate the script. In Script Developer, select Script > Validate to validate the script.

8. Publish the script to the Altitude uCI Server.
9. Configure the campaign to work with the script.
